  2. Not bad, but some minor flaws... The Snickers bars have to go. They easily melt and a gooey mess is the last thing you need when SHTF. I suggest replacing with SOS food bars (+/-$1 ea.)that have a 5 year shelf life provide solid nutrition rather than empty calories. Both your cell & VX6/7 HT rechargeable batteries need regular charging & rotation or will go flat, I hope you do so monthly. Also your VX6/7 has a 2AA battery pack, but cannot Tx only Rx with it. I suggest going to an FT60 that has a 6AA battery pack and use Lithium AAs with 5 year shelf life. FYI; The battery of first responders is the AA because ALL responder radios are mandated to work with AA battery backup packs. Thus every EOC, fire camp, shelter, etc. will have pallets of AAs ready & available. Another idea is simple coffee filters to strain the (tablet and other sediment from purified water. And add a tin cup and another water bottle for dirty water collection. Get one with a red lid to ID the mixing jug from the others to prevent cross contamination. All flashlights, radios, etc should work off AAs for reasons already stated. And you can NEVER have enough toilet paper. Hand Sanitizer wipes are also important and make great tender when starting a fire by matches or Mag/Flint striker. Otherwise, for a basic BOB, great job! It shows you put some real thought into it. 4. Thanks guys for the comments, all the feedback is really appreciated. Ya my friends bug out bag puts mine to shame haha. His video is actually what got me thinking about prepping in the first place.

@prepper_Jeff the ideas you had about the AA batteries being used as opposed to anything else is really smart and definitely worth noting. I hadn't thought about that before, so thanks for the comment.

  5. I have searched and reviewed Thousands bug out bags. You have in my opinion a bag that ranks in the top 95% but get a gun in there. Even a simple 22LR would give you massive added benefits.
    Prep on Bro.

  6. You're so prepared! Get more solid bars that won't melt. I think chocolates are a bad idea since when the weather gets hot, that will be quite a mess. But I think you're well prepared as it is. Crank radios are also recommended and some bleach for more disinfecting. In today's weather, we have to be prepared. Not to mention the way security in the world is going - terrorism is wearisome! Natural disaster is on the rise and those BOB will be a lifeline for our survival. For more tips and awesome lists, see: http://backpackingmastery.com/gear/use-this-bug-out-bag-list.html
